On offer is a magnificent base of an absolutely massive tusk of an adult alpha male Woolly Mammoth from the Pleistocene era. This is the tusk piece where it attached to the animal's skull, hence the hollow part. This tusk base is is in excellent condition, as can be seen in the images. Two big cracks have been professionally repaired, otherwise there is no restoration to this piece whatsoever. Beautiful colouring of mainly black, blue, brown white and gold, and with stunning patterning. Judging from the circumference this would have belonged to a huge adult alpha male Woolly Mammoth. This piece has been applied with a matt finish, but it is also possible to order it with a glossy finish.
The custom-made wooden stand with brown finish is included and makes this a truly monumental and highly displayable item. Not just an object of great age and rarity, this is also a work of art in itself and makes a great display piece. Much more beautiful in the flesh than the photos can convey, and highly recommended.
This piece has been legally exported from Russia.
