We are proud to present this incredibly rare skull with lower jaw of a baby Woolly Mammoth from the Pleistocene era. The upper jaw incluces the P3 and successive P4 molars, and the lower jaw includes the P3 and M4 molars as well. The two tusks are in authentic and intact condition, they are very small, only just starting to develop, and they and beautifully illustrate how young this Mammoth was; they are of beautiful colouring of mostly brown, gold, white and grey ivory. A large section of the back of the skull is missing, but otherwise this piece is in beautiful state of preservation, with many details of anatomy wonderfully preserved. Highly recommended for museum or university collections. Skulls of juvenile mammoths are much rarer than those of adult animals due to their fragility. Once in a lifetime opportunity, highly unusual and extremely rare piece. The black-and-white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch.
Beautifully presented on a custom-made stand with brown wood base, and ready to display.
This piece has been legally exported from Russia.
