On offer is a beautiful and large piece of agate, in two halves, which can be used as book-ends. They are of fantastic transparency and with good colours and patterning. Agate mostly consists of quartz and chalcedony and is primarily formed within volcanic rocks. The black-and-white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch.
