On offer is a good partial lumbar vertebra of a Woolly Mammoth from the Pleistocene era. The Mammoth's lumbar vertebrae were located in the lower back area of the spinal cord. Despite a few usual minor damages this example is in good state of preservation, as seen in the photographs. No restoration whatsoever. Judging from the size, this belonged to an adult animal. The black and white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch.
