On offer is a fascinating partial upper jaw of a Woolly Mammoth from the Pleistocene period. This piece still includes a well preserved M2 molar still firmly locked in the jaw tissue, together with a developing M3 molar behind the M2. Good state of preservation, as seen in the images. No restoration whatsoever. This jaw must have come from an animal which was about 30 years old when it died. Rare piece for the real collector. The black and white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch.
