On offer is a beautiful base of a tusk of an adult Woolly Mammoth, in excellent condition. This is the tusk piece where it attached to the animal’s skull, hence the hollow part. Very good state of preservation, as seen in the images. No restoration whatsoever. This tusk base is of beautiful colouring of mainly white, black, gold and brown ivory and with stunning patterning. Judging from the circumference this would have belonged to an adult male Mammoth in the prime of its life. A matt finish has been applied to this piece, but it is also possible to order it with a glossy finish. The black-and-white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch.
Attractively displayed on a custom-made metal and wood stand with dark finish, and ready to display. Not only a fantastic fossil, but also truly a work of art in its own right and a great conversation piece.
