On offer is a superb and massive half tusk of an adult male Woolly Mammoth from the Pleistocene era. Although it is only a half tusk, otherwise it is in excellent condition as seen in the images. A crack has been professionally repaired, otherwise no restoration whatsoever. This is the middle part of the tusk, the base and tip are missing. This tusk piece is of beautiful ivory of mainly white, gold, grey and brown. Stunning patterning. Fantastic piece and highly recommended. The black and white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch. This piece has been applied with a matt finish, but it is also possible to order it with a glossy finish. Juding from the size, this belonged to an alpha male Mammoth in the prime of its life, and the complete tusk would have been absolutely massive.
Attractively displayed on a custom-made wood stand with black finish, and ready to display. Not only a fantastic fossil, but also truly a work of art in its own right and a great conversation piece.
