On offer is a fantastic and very rare skull of a male Irish Elk from the Pleistocene era, still including two partial antlers. A truly fantastic fossil in excellent state of preservation, with many details of anatomy beautifully preserved, as seen in the images, and thus very rare. No restoration whatsoever. Very displayable and impressive piece. Irish Elk was one of the most impressive creatures to inhabit the North Sea area. Its amazing antlers could grow to enormous sizes and are among the most sought after and expensive fossils. The black-and-white section of the ruler in the image represents 10 cm / 3.9 inch.
This superb piece is presented on a custom-made stand with a dark wood base, and ready to display. Much more impressive in real life than the photos can convey, and highly recommended.
